We are looking for a reliable and motivated Despatch Operative to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you'll be on your feet throughout the day, ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for delivery.


You will be responsible for checking and packaging materials, completing all relevant despatch paperwork and system entries, and working closely with warehouse and transport teams to maintain smooth operations. Attention to detail, good organisation, and a commitment to safety and accuracy are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities





Ensure all part quantities and accompanying paperwork are fully accurate and aligned. Pack goods in accordance with quality and health & safety standards, completing all SAP confirmations. Create and maintain SAP manifests for despatch operations. Prepare trunker manifests and coordinate with external couriers to ensure timely collections. Post goods issued for despatched orders accurately within SAP. Organise and load materials safely onto vehicles for delivery. Generate export documentation and commercial invoices, scanning and distributing to relevant departments. Upload Proof of Delivery (POD) paperwork and maintain accurate filing of all despatch records. Manage stock levels of consumable packaging materials and request replenishment as required. Securely pack parts, wrap and palletise goods, and store completed orders ready for despatch. Provide assistance to shop floor personnel as required to support smooth warehouse operations.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise





Competent with the use of manual equipment. Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot documentation errors. Ability to understand and Prioritise Work in accordance with despatch Work To List. Flexible with the ability to change schedule's as and when required. Good communication skills and confidence to make on the spot decisions. Self-motivated, reliant, diligent, analytical and numerate. Ability to work effectively, under pressure to meet deadlines. PC literate


Desirable knowledge /skills /experience /behaviours but essential:

FLT driver Competent with Microsoft applications
