We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods within our warehouse environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment. The Warehouse Worker will play a vital part in maintaining smooth logistics processes and supporting overall warehouse management.
Responsibilities
Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company standards
Stock shelves and organise materials to optimise space utilisation and accessibility
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
Support materials handling tasks including lifting heavy items safely and efficiently
Receive and process customer orders via multiple channels, including phone, email, and online systems
Verify order details for accuracy and completeness before entry into the system
Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to confirm product availability and delivery schedules
Prepare and generate order documentation
Track order progress and communicate updates to customers promptly
Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to orders in a professional manner
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and update customer information as needed
Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment activities when required
Contact existing customers on a daily basis via phone & email
Requirements
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred; training will be provided for specific equipment and systems
Proficiency in operating forklifts is desirable; valid certification is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the shift
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock handling and order processing
Good physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks involving lifting or moving materials
Basic understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, as well as materials handling techniques
