Full time position

08:00 - 17:00 (1 Hour un-paid lunch)

Monday - Friday (Excluding public holidays)

No weekends

No overtime

Annual leave

28 Days total, including 8 days mandatory allocated to public holidays

Mandatory 3 days allocated to 'Christmas shutdown' period 29th - 31st

17 days free to book over the course of the year 02/01 - 24/12

Warehouse Operative duties

Generally, a Warehouse Worker's daily tasks include:

Allocating stock to sales orders & producing picking lists Assistance in loading the delivery vehicles Receiving and booking in deliveries physically & on Profit4 ERP software Receiving and booking in service/hire machines & accessories physically & on EWS Database Picking stock as per picking lists Producing & stamping/filling out test certifications Monitoring and actioning a mailbox Preparing, packing and sending carrier deliveries via designated carriers Putting away & organizing stock & machinery Attending and serving the trade counter Operating, charging & maintaining a forklift truck General upkeep/tidiness of the warehouse Handling/storing/returning small to large inert compressed gas cylinders & stillages Filing documentation Maintaining & actioning a returns/query database
You will be responsible for the fitting of electrical plugs 110/240/415v to machinery/power tools/leads. Furthermore, carrying out electrical safety tests with certification to said machinery/power tools/leads. Test equipment and certification templates will be provided via Eltham Welding Supplies.

Experience and qualifications preferred, but not essential as we can send you on a training course. This course will be during working hours and paid for via Eltham Welding supplies.

Driving:

In the absence of a current driver or due to customer order demand you may be required to cover as a delivery driver

Driving Requirements:

Must have a valid driver's license Must be willing to work on their feet for several hours at a time Must be able to lift 25kg. & stand for long periods of time Must be able to drive 7+ hours per day
You will be delivering sometimes small goods, sometimes heavy machinery to our regular customers across the south-east of England, but predominantly London, Kent, Essex and the other surrounding counties. Heavy lifting is required on a dailly basis.

Driving sensibly, handling goods with care, acting professionally, looking smart, being precise and acting respectfully with customers and colleagues alike are all expected. Customer service is very important to us.

Assistance in loading the vans, maintenance and upkeep of vans

The typical amount of drops per day is 15 - 20, but the distance can be from one side of London to the other.
