Warehouse Operative with Driving Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our growing warehouse team on a Full-Time, permanent basis. The role will be a hybrid of warehouse duties and delivery driving. When deliveries are not available warehouse roles will be undertaken such as container offloading, picking and packing orders and so on.

Prior warehouse experience would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided.

Picking and packing orders Loading goods for dispatch Manually handling to unloading containers Dealing with goods In/Out Heavy lifting involved Using and filling out picking and packing lists Packing special orders Supporting other members of the warehouse team if needed Working to Health & Safety Regulations General warehouse up keep/maintenance Stock taking Moving stock around by hand and using lifting gear Opportunity to drive van/car to clients Assembly or modification of parts for special orders Checking and labelling orders Shrink wrapping and palletising Banding and electric banding Other ad-hoc duties
Essential Experience/ Qualities

General computer skills Attention to detail Good communication Numerate A team player-capable of working alone or with other team staff Able to use own initiative Career minded individual with the desire to progress An interest in this type of work Keen and willing to learn Punctual and reliable is a must Fit and able, the position involves moving of heavy items on a regular basis Polite Ability to manually lift 25kg boxes Forklift experience is an advantage
Driving licence is required

Monday - Thursday Start 7.30am - Finish 5.00pm. Friday Start 7.30am - Finish 4.00pm. 1 hour break. 41.5 hours per week. Flexible working is needed should overtime be required or if you are on driving jobs hours may vary.
