Salary:

12.85 - 13.00 per hour (dependent on forklift experience)

2. The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our fulfilment centre. You'll be responsible for ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately, safely, and efficiently. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, teamwork and safety are vital.

3. Key Responsibilities

Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders to high accuracy standards. Receiving, checking, and putting away inbound stock. Assisting with stock control and inventory checks. Loading and unloading delivery vehicles (by hand or using equipment). Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment. Using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners. Following company health & safety policies, including correct PPE use. Supporting other warehouse tasks as required (kitting, returns processing, quality checks).

4. Skills & Experience Required

Previous warehouse, logistics, or fulfilment experience (3PL background desirable). Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure. Good communication and teamwork skills. Numeracy and basic IT skills (comfortable with scanners and WMS). Able to lift/move stock within manual handling guidelines. Flexible, reliable, and a positive "can-do" attitude.
Please note: this role requires regular manual handling and a good level of physical activity as part of normal warehouse operations.

5. Desirable (but not essential)

Forklift licence (Reach/Counterbalance). Full UK Driving Licence
