Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and mechanical tasks within a dynamic environment. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Duties

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and processing orders Assist with shipping and receiving procedures, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety standards Maintain organisation of the warehouse space to optimise workflow Conduct basic mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting on equipment as needed Support construction-related tasks or repairs within the warehouse environment when required

Requirements

Proven experience in warehousing or logistics operations Competency in operating forklifts and familiarity with warehouse management systems (e.g., AS400) Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction tools is advantageous Ability to perform stocktaking, picking & packing, and load & unload activities efficiently Good organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory management Knowledge of materials handling procedures and safety protocols Valid certification for forklift operation is preferred but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
