Overview


We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient logistics processes. Duties



Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfilment. Supervise warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of productivity and safety. Manage and optimise warehouse processes through continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation strategies. Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP systems, and AS400 platforms to monitor stock levels, track shipments, and generate reports. Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) to ensure timely delivery and collection of goods. Oversee the utilisation of forklift trucks and other equipment to handle materials safely and efficiently. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline supply chain activities. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while fostering a safe working environment. Analyse profit & loss statements related to warehouse operations to identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement best practices in shipping & receiving procedures to optimise throughput and minimise errors.

Qualifications



Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics roles with supervising experience preferred. Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Familiarity with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms used for inventory control and process optimisation. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and third-party logistics (3PL) coordination. Proficiency in using forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely. Demonstrated ability in process improvement initiatives within a warehouse or distribution centre setting. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong analytical skills with experience in profit & loss analysis related to warehouse activities. Relevant qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are advantageous but not essential.
