We are looking for a capable and meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join our Apparel Warehouse team to help support our fast growing business.

The full time role is based in the town of Burgess Hill in the beautiful county of Sussex where we have great transport links to the area .

Quality Controller / Intake Inspector



To monitor shipment intake and ensure that production standards are met and maintained for the brand before the product is dispatched to the customer.



Perform AQL based warehouse led sporadic inspections of product and identify any defects made during the manufacturing process. This is a role that works between the warehouse and the Garment Tech teams



Based in Burgess Hill , WoolOvers House RH15 9NB

The role is full time and reports to the Technical manager at WoolOvers

Quality Control



Organise and inspect incoming stock, measure garments, record defected items and ensure delivery meets the standard set out by the tech team both technically and aesthetically in line with the approved production sample.

AQL inspections ensuring products meet legal compliance and are in line with the specification set.

Create Excel file and keep a detailed record of defects and faulty deliveries. Take photos, add measures and comments and circulate to the technical team.

Keep the inspection list and on hold list up to date.

Able to work in multiple locations - picking and returning product to the warehouse. Multiple warehouse locations within 5-minute walk of each other.

Where possible remedial and reprocessing work as and when necessary to correct faulty stock.

Liaise with the technical team, buying team, shop and warehouse manager/personnel.

Comply with all standards, internal policies and legal regulations that apply to the finished product

.



Observecompany Health and Safety policies including the use of PPE whilst in the warehouse.

Customer Returns



Monitor and process faulty customer returns in an Excel sheet including photos, measures and any other relevant information. Alert the technical team when identical faults are being repeated.

Remedial and reprocessing work as and when necessary to correct faulty items.

Essential Skills



- The ability to work on your own and as part of a team .

- Experience with Excel, Word and Outlook.

- Good communication skills.

- Organised and hardworking

- Must be numerate and able to work under pressure.

- Must be able to follow agreed process

- Must be commercially aware of timelines and the requirement to resolve issues ASAP when stock is on hold

- Have a strong attention to detail and a commercial eye for product quality. To have the confidence to escalate variations from approved production.

Pay: From 13.00 per hour
