Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations within our logistics centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient materials handling, and maintaining safety standards. Duties

Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Oversee materials handling processes ensuring accuracy and efficiency using warehouse management systems (WMS). Manage a team of warehouse operatives, providing training and support to optimise productivity. Operate and oversee the use of forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and effectively. Implement process improvements to enhance workflow, reduce costs, and increase safety standards. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all warehouse operations. Organise stock rotation, storage, and distribution in accordance with company policies. Liaise with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate shipments and deliveries. Utilise systems for inventory control and reporting purposes. Maintain accurate records of shipping & receiving activities, including documentation related to heavy lifting tasks.

Experience

Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a logistics environment. Strong knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts and mechanical tools. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms. Experience in process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, including 3PL coordination. Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues. Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively. Prior experience working within a warehouse environment with heavy lifting requirements is essential. Pay: 30,000.00-33,000.00 per year
