We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor (Goods Inward) to overseeing the receipt of all incoming goods into our busy warehouse. This role ensures deliveries are received accurately, inspected for quality and quantity, recorded correctly in inventory systems, and stored safely in accordance with company procedures. The supervisor leads the goods inward and inventory team to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Goods Receiving & Inspection

Supervise the unloading and receiving of all inbound deliveries

Verify delivered goods against purchase orders and delivery notes

Inspect goods for damage, quality issues, and correct quantities

Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to procurement or management

Team Supervision

Lead, train, and supervise goods inward staff

Allocate daily tasks and monitor team performance

Ensure staff follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Address performance issues and support continuous improvement

Health, Safety & Compliance

Enforce warehouse health and safety regulations at all times

Ensure safe use of handling equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks, etc.)

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free goods inward area

Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations

Coordination & Communication

Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments

Coordinate delivery schedules to avoid congestion or delays

Communicate receiving issues promptly to relevant teams

Reporting & Administration

Monitor KPIs such as receiving accuracy and turnaround time

Assist management with process improvements and efficiency initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in warehouse or logistics operations

Experience in a supervisory or team leader role preferred

Familiarity with inventory systems / WMS

Forklift license (preferred, where applicable)

Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, inventory software)
