Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient processes, managing a team, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity within the warehouse environment. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems, logistics, and materials handling.

DUTIES



Despatch Operations

Supervise all aspects of despatch and goods inwards operations. Coordinate daily tasks, ensuring that deadlines are met and all orders are despatched in line with the schedule. Ensure stock is available to all production activities as required to meet production schedules. Liaise and collaborate with other departments to coordinate order fulfilment and resolve any issues. Liaise with couriers, delivery drivers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Ensure the correct flow of paperwork for activities within the control of the Warehouse department. Follow and relay Company quality policies and procedures. Support the implementation of new technologies, systems, or methods to streamline despatch operations.

Supervision

Supervise a team of Store Keepers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with Company standards. Ensure all team members observe the correct working times and practices with respect to start / finish times and breaks. Ensure that procedures are followed with regard to time keeping and employee absences. Ensure information and/or team briefs are relayed to all team members as and when required. Provide training and ongoing support to new and existing team members.

Health & Safety

Ensure that all despatch activities comply with Health and Safety regulations, and company policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety protocols and housekeeping requirements at all times.

EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES



Previous supervisory / team leading experience gained within a warehouse / distribution environment (desirable). At least 3 years' experience of working within a warehouse/distribution environment (essential). Sound understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, order fulfilment and logistics. Strong ability to identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively. Attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in the picking, packing and despatch of orders. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse or despatch environment. Basic computer literacy and experience of data inputting. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with team members, other departments and third parties. Strong ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively and co-ordinate multiple activities in a fast-paced environment. Good work ethic, reliability and honest approach.

Pay: 27,107.00-28,107.00 per year
