We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our clients daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient materials handling, shipping, and receiving processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, maintaining safety standards, and implementing process improvements to optimise productivity. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including materials handling, shipping, and receiving.
Manage and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Oversee the utilisation of forklift trucks and other mechanical equipment, ensuring safe operation and maintenance.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety within the warehouse.
Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management System (WMS) software such as AS400.
Organise logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments, liaising with 3PL providers as necessary.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks and support team members during peak periods or busy schedules.
Coordinate training sessions for staff on equipment operation, including forklift handling and mechanical troubleshooting.
Skills
Proven experience in warehouse management or similar logistics roles.
Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and process optimisation.
Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), particularly AS400.
Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Experience working with 3PL providers for shipping & receiving operations.
Good understanding of logistics principles and supply chain management.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation.

Working Hours
Due to growth and high demand, our client is offering a range of available hours, over a 2-4 day period. The key here is the right person fit, as apposed to specific hours.
