The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Supervisor to work in our facility in Glenrothes. This purpose of this role is to assist with the effective and efficient management of the warehouse.
Key Job Responsibilities
Effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and a team of Operatives
Ensure that all orders are filled accurately and on time.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Maintain health and safety standards.
Coach and supervise the warehouse team.
Ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
Manage the security of the warehouse
Daily meetings with Warehouse team to communicate workload, assign tasks and communicate any business updates
Build lasting relationships with 3rd party providers
Candidate Profile/Qualifications
Background
Previous experience in a warehouse environment including knowledge of Warehouse and Distribution Processes
Excellent communication skills
Ability to use your own initiative
Ability to prioritise workload
Excellent time management
Previous experience of leading a small team would be highly desirable.
Skills
Minimum 2 years' management experience, preferably in logistics/transport warehouse operation
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
IT skills are essential (Excel, Windows, Microsoft Word)
Knowledge of logistics IT systems
Excellent professional and Personal Time management skills are essential
Prioritise workload independently
Experience in promoting health and safety at work
Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop professional working relationships with key stakeholders
Excellent understanding of warehouse and Health and safety policies and procedures.
