Warehouse Supervisor responsibility is to support the day to day running of the warehouse operation to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.

Working in a busy environment where priorities can change at a moment's notice, so an ability to multitask is essential with this new role.

Job description and responsibilities

Support the running of the Amphorea warehouse & Logistics. Ensuring all orders are processed accurately and on time ensuring our high standards of quality and customer service expectations are met. Communicating Internally with customer services and to answer Despatch questions and troubleshoot problems. Ensuring trailers are loaded & offloaded correctly and within tight timeframes to ensure customer delivery deadlines are met. Planning goods coming into the warehouse. Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained. Making sure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery. Ensure all orders are accurate and always loaded adhering to health and safety. Ensuring all procedures are followed. Ensuring all paperwork is checked and processed correctly.

Warehouse Supervisor candidates should possess the following prerequisite skills and qualifications to successfully perform the duties involved in the role.

Meeting deadlines whilst maintaining our high standards of customer service. Problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and quality issues. Ability to use forklift trucks confidently and safely to load and off load goods and store stock safely. Ability to plan space ahead and put stock away keeping areas Safe, clean and tidy. Clear knowledge of warehouse operations. Ability to multitask in a demanding environment. Supervisor skills with a keen interest in widening skill set and understanding of the wider organisation. Organisational skills to run the warehouse efficiently. Proficiency in inventory and/or warehouse software and email. Driving licence to enable travel to other sites using our Vans. (over 25 years old for insurance purposes) Attention to detail is critical for stock inventory and checking orders are correct. Flexible approach to accommodate early and late finishes is required. Key holder to the warehouse. Clear communicator in person/email and phone. Communicating at all levels within the business if required. Ensure all health & safety is adhered to along with company policies and procedures, site security, near miss reports, accident reports. Ability to Identify obstacles and make suggestions to improve and keep warehouse and logistics moving forward. Trained to a standard to be able to cover in line mangers absence.

Requirements

Clean driving licence and must be over 25 years old due to Insurance requirements to drive the Van. Understanding of basic Health and Safety in the workplace and willingness to learn. Communication and people skills. Critical thinking skills. Ability to prioritise. Ability to stay calm under pressure. Familiarity on Forklift trucks. Logistics experience. Attention to detail. Good organisational skills. Team player and a willingness to help wide team through peak periods/cover. Willingness to learn and grow within the organisation. Worked in Team Leader/Supervisor roles within warehouse environment.
