Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and self driven Warehouse Supervisor to join the team at our custom-built facility in Newbridge, Edinburgh.

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, organising packing, and dispatching goods, as well as maintaining a clean and well organized work environment.

A successful candidate will support the existing team in all aspects of sign-making and installing signage off site when required - all additional training will be provided to support this aspect of the role.

Key Responsibilities;

Goods in/out

- Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork.

- Updating relevant computer programmes to track movement of goods.

- Storing, rotating, monitoring and ordering of stock according to company procedure and ensuring that all stock items are readily available.

- Packaging and palletising completed products, labelling & processing for install/delivery.

Quality

- Treating merchandise with care and concern at all times.

- Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Deputy Operations Manager.

- Quality checking of completed product and organising jobs ready for installation.

HSE

- Operate warehouse machinery, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools for movement of stock & product around the warehouse safely.

- Keeping the warehouse environment, yard & bin area clean and tidy and maintaining equipment.

- Co-manage and enforce Health & Safety regulations, ensuring compliance in all warehouse and yard activities.

- Maintenance of good working practice through CoSHH guidelines.

Process Improvements

- Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules.

- Implement continuous process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.

Supporting the team

- Supporting other departments during quiet times with sign making in the workshop and fitting signage on site.

- Local delivery of finished product to clients.

Essential Requirements:

Forklift license. Clean driving license. Experience using hand and power tools. Previous experience in a warehouse or workshop environment is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic numeracy and literacy skills for inventory management. Ability to lift and carry heavy items. Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Health and safety awareness. Confidence to self-initiate work that is required.

Schedule:

Job Type: Full-time

Hours - Monday to Thursday - 9am to 5pm, Friday 9am - 4pm

35.25 working hours per week.

30 days holiday pa

Work Location: In person - Newbridge, Edinburgh.
