The role

Our Warehouse Operations are the vital in exceeding our customer's requirements and ensure our hubs are thriving work environments.



Our Warehouse Supervisors lead from the front and are very hands on when it comes to people management. Without their industry knowledge, leadership skills and passion for people development, we would not be the successful business we are today.



This position is for a Night Warehouse Supervisor, where you will run the night shift.

This position is working Sunday-Thursday 21:00-06:30am (required overtime every third Friday paid at a premium rate)

Key accountabilities

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, providing direction and leadership to a small team of colleagues, working collaboratively to ensure the smooth running of the Warehouse. Ensuring the team comply with all company and departmental rules, safe systems of work and quality procedures. Maintaining effective communication links with both line manager, other shift managers and team with pre shift briefings and toolbox talks. Using a both manual handling and MHE to manoeuvre tyres of various weights and sizes

.

Leading by example and promoting essential safety standards, good housekeeping and site best practice at all times.

Skills & experience

A natural leader and motivator of people and teams, with experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar role in Supply Chain or similar industry is desirable. Must have licences and experience of MHE (VNA, Reach, Counter Balance, LLOP). Full UK driving license essential Have previous experience of working in and enjoy fast-paced customer driven warehouse environments. Must be well organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good knowledge of IT and systems, and a keen eye for detail. People focused, with an ability to develop themselves and others professionally within a distribution environment. Previous use of Warehouse Management Systems would be advantageous. Happy to work in a physically demanding role.
