Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing materials handling, coordinating shipping and receiving, and leading a team to ensure efficient logistics processes. This role requires strong organisational skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to optimise warehouse workflows using various systems. The Warehouse Supervisor will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and improving operational efficiency within a fast-paced environment.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including materials handling, shipping, and receiving. Oversee the utilisation of forklift trucks and other mechanical equipment to move goods safely and efficiently. Implement process improvements to optimise workflow, reduce costs, and enhance productivity. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to ensure accurate stock levels. Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to meet performance targets while maintaining high safety standards. Oversee logistics operations, including coordination with third-party logistics providers (3PL). Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to heavy lifting, mechanical operation, and hazardous materials. Manage the organisation of storage areas for optimal space utilisation and ease of access. Monitor shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely dispatches and deliveries. Conduct regular audits of inventory and warehouse processes to identify areas for improvement.

Skills



Proven experience in warehouse management with strong knowledge of materials handling techniques. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts. Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment. Experience with process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong understanding of logistics operations, including shipping & receiving procedures. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required. Familiarity with 3PL operations and third-party logistics coordination. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control. Pay: 24,420.00-36,835.69 per year
