We have been creating and supplying quality beverage and dessert focussed products to the food service industry for over 25 years. We pride ourselves in being experts and innovators in flavour, providing best in class products and service across the business.

IBC is a family run business, and part of the Delightful Food Group. Our passion for quality and innovation, and commitment to excellence, has made us a trusted partner to many businesses across the UK and you will find our products across the UK and internationally, from multi-site coffee shops to retail cafes.

We are now recruiting for a newly created

Warehouse Systems Manager

role, based primarily at our Basildon distribution warehouse.

What will I be responsible for?

This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, availability, and strategic movement of stock across all IBC Simply storage sites - including Basildon (our primary DC) and both our external storage facility and factory based in March.

The successful candidate will lead the implementation and management of warehouse systems, including barcoding and inventory control tools, and will oversee the daily administration of all stock systems. You will also line-manage the Warehouse Administrator and deputise for the Warehouse Operations Manager as needed.

You'll act as the key point of contact for operational systems within the warehouse, ensuring goods are in the right place at the right time, and that we operate with a "right first time" approach to stock management.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of improved warehouse stock control processes, including exploring and introducing WMS or barcoding solutions to complement Sage 200. Ensure real-time stock accuracy across Basildon, external storage facility and March Foods. Proactively manage stock allocation and movement to optimise warehouse space and ensure Basildon holds only fast-moving and priority lines. Lead and execute regular cycle counts and coordinate annual stock takes. Analyse stock discrepancies and implement process improvements to reduce stock loss and inaccuracies. Develop and maintain processes to track inbound/outbound product flows and ensure system records are fully aligned with physical stock. Support and train warehouse staff in system usage and stock control processes. Manage and support the Warehouse Administrator to ensure all order paperwork, picklists and system updates are timely and accurate. Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure alignment of the warehouse stock strategy with business objectives. Present regular updates on stock accuracy, warehouse performance, and systems improvements at monthly management meetings and to the board when required. Work collaboratively with our sister company, March Foods, to identify and implement improvements in process flows, stock visibility, and systems integration between sites. Collaborate with the Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance Technical and Marketing teams to ensure product availability and resolve any stock-related issues. Deputise for the Warehouse Operations Manager when required, including overseeing the warehouse team and daily dispatch operations.

What are you looking for in the ideal candidate?

Experience:

Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment with a strong focus on stock control and systems management. Experience implementing or working with WMS/barcoding systems. Exposure to multi-site stock operations and external warehousing is highly desirable.

Skills:

Excellent systems and analytical skills, with a strong ability to troubleshoot and improve processes. Confident Excel user with strong data accuracy and reporting skills. Comfortable managing a small team and liaising with cross-functional departments. Able to lead operational change and bring others with you.

Mindset:

Detail-focused and proactive, with a drive to improve processes and deliver results. Capable of taking initiative, owning tasks through to resolution, and identifying areas for improvement. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Why Join Us?

Opportunity to have a significant impact on a key area of the business and shape procurement processes from the ground up. A supportive, family-run business environment with a focus on innovation, quality, and personal growth. Be part of a trusted company with a strong reputation, supplying leading businesses across the UK and internationally
