Packing Operative

Permanent, Site Based, Full Time, 38.75 hours, Monday to Friday 11.30am - 8.00pm

Our Warehouse team are essential in ensuring we deliver and maintain the high-quality service that Hafele has become renowned for.

Our Packing Operatives ensure that the items we ship are safely and securely packed to our customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

General duties will include:

Final inspection of orders where distribution is complete, to ensure conformance of picked/distributed goods to customer requirement To secure packing of checked consignments to prevent loss/damage in transmit to the delivery distribution Removing totes containing complete orders Distribution of totes of completed orders to packing benches Manual handling (placing items into boxes) Order processing using an in-house software Packing, sealing and labelling boxes Reporting any non-conformances you find To apply safe lifting and handling techniques at all times. To work in accordance with defined process maps and work instructions.

What you'll need to succeed:

Keen eye for detail Previous experience in warehouse environment, including manual handling Working experience in a Packing department is desirable Experience using warehouse systems including SAP would be advantageous Team player "Can do" attitude Open minded, family spirit Awareness and adherence to Health and Safety standards and practices Reliable

This is a full-time, permanent position. With hours between 11.30am and 8pm, Monday to Friday.
