Job Summary

This is a Self Employed role, a Vehicle is provided and you must be comfortable working alone at night, entering 30- 40 stops resturants and other businesses premises to collect waste and dispose before all returning the vehicle at the end of your shift .

Training is provided by experience is better.

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Refuse Collector to join our waste management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of refuse from commercial areas. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Operate refuse collection vehicles, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and traffic laws. Collect refuse from designated areas, including commercial properties at night. Communicate effectively with team members and the public to ensure smooth operations. Perform routine checks on vehicles to maintain mechanical integrity and report any issues promptly. Assist in loading and unloading refuse onto collection vehicles, ensuring proper handling of materials. Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment used during collection operations. Follow scheduled routes efficiently while adapting to any changes as required.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with experience in commercial driving; flatbed experience is advantageous. Previous delivery driver or warehouse experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and the public effectively. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required. A commitment to safety practices and procedures at all times.
