Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven individual to take on the role of Project Engineer, focusing on pre-mobilisation,


design coordination, and project delivery.

LEGIONELLA RISK ASSESSMENTS & COMPLIANCE



Conduct comprehensive Legionella risk assessments in line with ACoP L8, HSG274 and relevant British Standards. Produce clear, accurate and detailed written reports for clients, with recommendations for remedial actions. Maintain a thorough understanding of clients' water systems and develop tailored control schemes.

WATER TREATMENT & REMEDIAL WORKS



Carry out routine water monitoring and sampling (temperature checks, dip slides, pH, conductivity, etc.) Perform chlorination and disinfection of water systems, tanks, and pipework in accordance with BS 8558. Implement minor plumbing remedials (dead leg removals, TMV servicing, tank inspections and cleanings). Conduct closed system analysis and dosing as required.

TECHNICAL & CUSTOMER SERVICE



Liaise with clients, providing professional advice and updates on compliance and performance. Maintain service records and logbooks in accordance with contract requirements and legislation. Identify opportunities to improve water system efficiency and safety for the client.

Requirements



City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Water Treatment, Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Science. Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (e.g., City & Guilds accredited or similar). Full UK driving licence. Minimum 2 years' experience in water treatment and water hygiene services. Proven experience conducting Legionella Risk Assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274. Experience carrying out routine monitoring, cleaning, disinfections, and sampling of domestic hot and cold water systems. Comfortable working in a range of environments, including healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial sites. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, including Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS 8558. Understanding of closed system treatment (e.g., heating/cooling circuits) and basic BMS awareness.
