Watersports Coach
Job Description
London Sports Trust is hiring a BC level 2 (Paddle UK Coach Award) Kayaking coach on a Freelance coaching basis. We are looking for energetic candidates with strong leadership skills, group control and a positive coaching personality with an enthusiasm for providing engaging and developmental watersports sessions to young people and school groups. This role starts in September and will primarily cover the deliverance of watersports sessions to school groups as well as our weekly youth club kayaking sessions.
The ideal candidate would have experience coaching children and young people Kayaking and Canoeing sessions in a safe, effective and enthusiastic manner. You'll be required to deliver high quality watersports sessions to a range of groups of young people targeting skill development, inclusion and engagement alongside our team of energetic and welcoming coaches.
The role primarily would cover sessions at our site Canalside Activity Centre (W10 5AY) on the grand union canal as we move into September offering between 6 and 12 hours of coaching a week.
Requirements:
PaddleUk Instructor award (BC Level 1) or higher.
Experience delivering Kayaking/Canoeing Sessions.
Punctuality, Enthusiasm and a strong coaching personality capable of planning and leading sessions as a coach on the water.
