Responsibilities

Design and develop visually appealing websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into effective web designs. Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using tools such as Balsamiq, Axure, or Figma. Ensure websites are optimised for SEO and adhere to best practices for usability and accessibility. Maintain website content using content management systems like WordPress or Drupal. Implement responsive web design principles to ensure optimal viewing across devices. Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback for continuous improvement. Collaborate with developers to integrate front-end designs with back-end functionality using frameworks such as Angular or React. Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance skills and improve design processes.

Requirements

Proven experience in web design with a strong portfolio showcasing digital design projects. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and other design tools (Sketch, InVision). Strong understanding of front-end development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Bootstrap, PHP, Python, Node.js, SQL, MySQL. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Knowledge of UX/UI principles and interaction design methodologies. Experience with data analysis tools like Google Analytics to inform design decisions. Understanding of email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
