Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and creative Web Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital design and interaction design, with a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites that enhance the user experience while ensuring optimal performance across various devices. Your expertise in front-end development and familiarity with the latest web technologies will be crucial in delivering high-quality web solutions.

Duties



Design and develop engaging, responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features. Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools such as Balsamiq, Axure, or Figma. Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions. Maintain website functionality through regular updates and troubleshooting. Optimise websites for SEO to improve visibility and search engine rankings. Utilise content management systems like WordPress or Drupal for website management. Implement front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or React to enhance user interfaces. Work with graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) to create visual assets. Collaborate with developers on back-end integration using PHP, Python, or Node.js. Monitor website performance using Google Analytics and make data-driven improvements.

Experience


The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience in web design with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work. Proficiency in digital design principles and interaction design methodologies. Familiarity with front-end development languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, SCSS, and Less. Experience with version control systems such as Git for collaborative projects. Knowledge of UX/UI principles to create intuitive user experiences. Understanding of website maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques. Experience with email marketing platforms like Mailchimp is advantageous. Familiarity with additional tools such as InVision, Telerik, Adobe After Effects, Visio, SQL, MySQL is a plus.
