Rusty Monkey was founded with one premise: work should make people happy. People in the UK spend over 3,000 days at work over their lifetime. That's a lot of time to be miserable if you hate your job. So we set out to create a workplace that's a joy to be part of, by building a team of cool, fun people who love what they do. Our little team boasts a range of skills from branding, graphic design, web development, online marketing, content creation, video, photography, creative writing, project management and more.

Some of the perks...
4 day week
We operate a 4 day week for full time pay, with the office closing on Fridays. Our employment contracts are 32 hours per week (8 hours per day). We operate flexible working hours, although we ask that you start work no later than 09:00 and finish no earlier than 16:30 as these are our core operating hours.
Hybrid working
We support hybrid working, and will supply a company laptop for working from home. However, we will require all team members to attend the studio on certain days for important catch-ups. For your initial induction period, we ask that you attend the studio full time so that we can show you the ropes.
About You
You'll need a passion for software development and technology. Basically, we're looking for a proper nerd. You'll need to be friendly, cooperative and approachable. You'll need to be able to talk with the internal team and also with clients. We love people who are able to innovate, improve and put forward new ideas, so confidence and creativity are important qualities. We work collaboratively - internally and sometimes with external parties - so you'll need to be comfortable working in a team. You won't be micromanaged, so you'll need to be able to organise your own resources and coordinate with the rest of the team to ensure we meet our clients' schedules. You will take on a range of responsibilities within the dev team, and be keen to proactively learn new skills and keep up-to-date with the latest advances and trends in technology.
