Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our wedding and events business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with experience in managing kitchen operations. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that meet our high standards of quality and presentation while ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. This requires working across days, with a flexible nature. You will be required to cater for weddings, events, conference etc and maybe required to help in other areas occasionally.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations to ensure efficient food production. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times. Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques into menu offerings.

Experience

Proven experience in a Chef role within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Previous supervisory or team management experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences is crucial. Pay: 13.85-15.40 per hour
