The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and converting wedding and event enquiries into confirmed bookings. This role requires exceptional sales skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering an exceptional guest journey. From initial lead handling, through creating memorable show-rounds, to finalising contracts, you will be the key point of contact for couples and clients planning their dream event at Woodhall Manor.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Management:
Respond promptly and professionally to all incoming enquiries.
Qualify leads and manage them effectively through the Zoho CRM system.
Guest Journey & Sales Process:
Communicate with potential clients to schedule and coordinate venue tours.
Deliver engaging, informative, and personalised sales tours of Woodhall Manor.
Take time to fully understand each couple's vision, priorities, and requirements.
Confidently present the unique selling points of the venue and tailor solutions to suit client needs.
Create and send detailed, professional proposals using
Better Proposals
.
Provide timely responses to all client queries throughout the sales process.
Build strong, trusting relationships to secure bookings and long-term client satisfaction.
Booking Conversion:
Manage the sales pipeline effectively to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Proactively follow up with couples after tours to maintain engagement.
Negotiate and confirm bookings, ensuring all contractual details are accurate and compliant.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Work closely with the wider team to ensure seamless handover of confirmed bookings to the planning and latterly operations team.
Maintain accurate records of enquiries, tours, proposals, and conversions.
Report regularly on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends.
Skills & Experience
Proven track record in sales, preferably within weddings, hospitality, or events.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect authentically with clients.
Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and bookings simultaneously.
Proficiency in CRM systems and digital proposal platforms (experience with
Better Proposals
is an advantage).
