Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Weekend Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive kitchen experience and a strong background in food preparation and busy service delivery. As our Weekend Chef, you will be responsible for delivering and developing exceptional dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hospitality are maintained. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee weekend kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with a focus on the preparation, development and delivery of our outstanding Sunday lunch menu, adhering to recipes and presentation standards Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance where required to ensure the highest quality is maintained Manage inventory and work with the Head Chef to plan resources and orders for weekends Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen Maintain food safety protocols to ensure compliance with food safety regulations Collaborate with front-of-house staff to create a seamless dining experience for guests Work with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and trends

Requirements

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment Supervisory experience is preferable with the ability to supervise and motivate a team Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods Food Safety Level 2 as a minimum requirement Background in hospitality or high volume outlet Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.25-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 24 per week
