Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team of weekend staff, working either 7am - 3pm or 3pm -10pm. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need, assisting them with daily living activities and promoting their overall well-being. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Duties

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

Providing care and support to individuals with varying needs. Assisting with care tasks, including personal hygiene and mobility assistance. Preparing nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Offering companionship and emotional support to clients. Administering medication as prescribed and ensuring proper documentation is maintained. Supporting clients in their daily routines within home care or assisted living settings. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Support Worker position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Experience in care, with a focus on dementia care is highly desirable. Knowledge of meal preparation and dietary considerations for various health conditions. Level 2 in health and social care is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help others.
