Job Description

Hillhouse Group is a family-owned business operating throughout Scotland. The company is a major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, readymix concrete, concrete products and road surfacing and civil engineering services to the construction industry and civil engineering sectors.

We are seeking a professional and competent Weighbridge Operator to work at our Quarry near Troon, to ensure the smooth operation of the Weighbridge facility and act as point of contact for customers.

Applicants should ideally have industry experience however training will be given.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Direct traffic coming onto site. Accurately record weights and product type by vehicle, completing appropriate documentation and collecting driver signatures, etc. Process delivery notes and tickets accurately and efficiently. Report any anomalies/errors on the weighbridge system to the Sales Department. Maintain relationships and deal with queries from customers and site visitors, face to face and electronically (by phone or email). Ensure weighbridge customers are aware of site rules and distribute information and guidance accordingly. Report health & safety issues immediately to management. Comply with all Health, Safety, HR, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures.

Person Profile

Industry knowledge preferred but not required. Administration and scheduling experience beneficial. Excellent customer service skills. Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly organised, personable with good relationship building skills. Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
