Role Overview:

We are seeking skilled and dedicated

MIG Welders

to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precise welding operations to assemble and weld

fabricated skips and containers

. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced welders and individuals with a strong mechanical background looking for a stable, long-term position.

We have an hourly rate of 16.00 + 50p attendance bonus

We work a four day week Monday to Wednesday 19.30 to 6.00 and Thursday 20.30 to 6.00 with overtime in the week paid at 24.50 - 40h to 48h and 49h + paid at 32.50 the overtime in the week available when work allows is 2h at the start of the shift Monday to Wednesday,3h Thursday and 5h on a Friday 17.30 to 22.30.

An attendance bonus of 50p is paid for every hour worked when a 39h working week is achieved there is also a production bonus.

Both are paid on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities

Execute MIG welding on various metal parts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to complete tasks Work with sheet metal and other materials to produce precise components for manufacturing processes Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide welding operations Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety protocols Conduct inspections of welds to ensure quality standards are met Assist in the setup of welding equipment and perform routine maintenance as required

Skills

Proven experience in MIG welding and welding techniques Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Strong understanding of sheet metal work and assembly processes Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication Familiarity with safety procedures related to welding environments Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting Good organisational skills with attention to detail
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about precision welding, fabrication, and mechanical craftsmanship. Candidates should possess relevant experience in welding processes, particularly MIG welding, along with a solid understanding of mechanical principles.
