Job Description
We currently have opportunities for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our busy Weld team.
As a Fabricator/Welder you will assist in the manufacture of fabricating and welding steel frames, structures, sheet metal fabrication and other miscellaneous duties. The successful candidate will be working on our Early or late shift: Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 14.30 to 22.30 and Fridays will be 12.30 to 18.30 Or 06.30 to 14.30 Monday to Thursday and Fridays will be 06.30 to 12.30.
The ideal candidate will:
Evaluate and interpret drawings, sketches and other data to be used in the preparation of the product to be manufactured, carrying out dimensional inspection prior to welding.
Highlight and communicate any minor faults which may arise which may cause delay to production
Ensure work is carried out to exact tolerances
Ensure all operating conditions are correct before commencing manufacture
MIG welding on Steel to a high standard
Assist colleagues with problems that arise offering practical and appropriate solutions.
Job Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Abilities:
Must have previous experience of MIG welding Steel
Relevant qualifications or training in Sheet Metal Fabrication / Welding.
The ability to read engineering drawings and use dimensional measuring equipment to measure fabricated parts.
Time Served
TIG weld experience desirable but not essential. A weld test will be requested at interview
Summary

Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, your role will involve working with sheet metal and various hand and power tools to ensure high-quality welds and finished products.
