Role Overview
The Wellbeing Supervisor is responsible for providing structured, supportive, and reflective supervision to staff using relevant clinical and resilience-based models. This role focuses on promoting emotional wellbeing, building personal and professional resilience, and supporting staff in navigating challenges in high-stress environments. The supervisor ensures a safe and confidential space for reflection, learning, and growth, ultimately contributing to improved performance, reduced burnout, and stronger team cohesion.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The salary for this role is 40,000 per annum.
Core Responsibilities
Deliver wellbeing supervision sessions to individuals and teams
Foster reflective practice, encouraging staff to explore experiences, challenges, and coping strategies.
Identify strengths, protective factors, and areas for professional development
Support staff in developing resilience skills such as emotional regulation, stress management, and self-care.
Promote healthy work-life balance and strategies to prevent burnout and compassion fatigue.
Act as a point of contact for staff wellbeing concerns, signposting additional resources where appropriate.
Ensure all supervision practice aligns with safeguarding policies and statutory guidance.
Maintain an awareness of safeguarding themes that may arise during supervision and escalate concerns directly to the DSL/Deputy DSL.
Support staff to recognise safeguarding risks and reflect on professional practice in line with safer working guidance.
Model safe, ethical, and professional boundaries in all aspects of supervision.
Design workshops and training sessions on resilience, wellbeing, and reflective practice and safeguarding awareness.
Share evidence-based approaches and resilience frameworks with teams.
Contribute to staff development programs with a focus on resilience and wellbeing.
Maintain supervision records in line with confidentiality, safeguarding, and organisational policies.
Monitor progress, identify themes or systemic issues, and provide feedback to leadership.
Evaluate the effectiveness of supervision and adapt approaches to meet evolving needs.
Support the Training and Compliance team to delivery outreach support and training to external stakeholders.
Support schools/academies in embedding emotional literacy and resilience provision to students guided by SEMH and Emotional Literacy lead.
Provide targeted wellbeing interventions and reflective practice support to staff of stakeholders who commission Oak Activities outreach packages.
Work with managers, HR, and each provision to strengthen organisational resilience strategies.
Contribute to building a supportive culture that values reflection, learning, and staff care.
Work in support of the Emotional Literacy and SEMH Lead to embed emotional literacy as a core principle that underpins all AP delivery at Oak Activities.
Support staff training on planning emotional literacy curriculum, developing SMART targets, supervision and support practices.
Contribute to audits and evaluations of emotional literacy provision, identifying strengths, gaps, and areas for development.
Provide guidance and reflective practice opportunities to staff to strengthen emotional literacy approaches with pupils.

Qualifications
Degree in psychology, counselling, social work, education, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience - Essential
Training in supervision, coaching, or reflective practice - Essential
Formal qualification in clinical supervision or reflective supervision - Desirable
Additional training in staff wellbeing, trauma-informed practice, or mental health first aid - Desirable
