Job Description

We require staff with a passion for whisky to join our team as part of the whisky tasting team in Whiski Rooms as a Whisky Ambassador. We host whisky tastings daily in our dedicated tasting room, everything from an Introduction to Whisky to Whisky & Cheese and Whisky and Chocolate tastings. When not doing tastings, you will be working in the bar and restaurant as part of the front of house team or dealing with webshop orders - this is an interesting and varied role.

Ideally you will have a knowledge of whisky and some bar or restaurant experience but full training will be provided. Once fully trained, you will be a Whisky Ambassador for the company, hosting tastings, training other staff on whisky and guiding customer choices. You need to be comfortable with people, good with sales and eager to host tastings as this is a key part of the role. Training will be given where required but whisky knowledge and passion are essential as are IT skills and a sense of fun.

Must haves:

Passion and knowledge of whisky
A fun and friendly personality with good sales and storytelling skills
Good general IT skills ie. Word, excel and epos till systems
Knowledge of e-commerce is advantageous
Weekend availability

Duties

Great sales skills and imparting knowledge to our customers/storytelling
Hosting tastings especially whisky tastings
Dealing with internet orders and scheduling pickups
Working in the bar & restaurant as required
Updating social media regularly
Liasing with the associated bar/restaurants for group tasting bookings
