We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated staff member to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for guest services and a strong drinks knowledge (wine and whisky knowledge preferred). You will be responsible for recommending, preparing and serving drinks, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness are maintained. This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience.
This is a part-time position of 3 days per week over the summer period, with the possibility to extend permanently. Days will be split between Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Assist in food preparation and ensure all food safety guidelines are followed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and floor area, including washing glassware and utensils.
Engage with guests to provide exceptional service, taking orders and offering recommendations.
Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the workplace.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is required.
Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
Ability to provide outstanding guest services with a friendly demeanour.
A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
WSET preferred but not required
