We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Wines & Spirits Retail Assistant to help drive the performance and customer experience of our wine and spirits operation across both our retail shop and warehouse. This is a dynamic role combining hands-on stock handling with front-of-house retail service. You'll be working closely with both our Warehouse Manager and Wine Shop Manager, acting as a vital link to ensure stock is where it needs to be and that our customers receive the best service possible.

Main Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement
: Assist customers in the Wine Shop, offering friendly, knowledgeable service and helping them find the right wines and spirits for their needs.
Product Knowledge
: Develop a good understanding of our wine and spirits range, and actively support tastings, promotions, and monthly Wine Nights in the shop.
Stock Coordination
:
o Receive and process wine and spirit deliveries using the Warehouse Management System
o Ensure stock is accurately stored and rotated in both the shop and warehouse
o Pick and pack orders efficiently for customer deliveries and shop replenishment
o Manage transfers of stock between locations (includes driving a company vehicle)
Visual Merchandising
: Help maintain a clean, inviting, and well-presented retail space that reflects our passion for wine.
Collaboration
: Work closely with the sales team, warehouse, and shop staff to ensure smooth operations and great customer service.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
An interest in wine and a willingness to learn more about our products
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organised and proactive with good attention to detail
Experience in retail, hospitality, or a customer-facing environment
Comfortable lifting and moving stock
Full Manual Driving Licence
Desirable:
Some knowledge of wine and spirits
Experience using a Warehouse Management System
Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

HOURS OF WORK:
? Monday-Friday 10:00-18:00
? Occasional evenings and weekends to support hospitality events (voluntary)
