WINTER GRITTING OPERATOR SWANSEA

THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated, and methodical Winter Gritting Operator to join our Winter Department on a temporary basis on a fixed-term zero-hour contract for the duration of the winter period, from October 2025 to the 1st of April 2026. The salary for the position is 35 per hour.


The successful candidates responsibilities will include:

Time and type of work:

Duties include night and day driving and manual labour work when required.

Daily operations:

Conduct salt gritting operations for sites within the Swansea region.

Maintain salt piles:

Ensure salt piles are covered at all times.

Equipment:

A vehicle, equipment, and training will be provided.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in the role, you are to possess the below knowledge and skills.


Essential:


Be honest, enthusiastic, and able to undertake physical work and driving duties mainly at night. Possess a full UK driving licence. Be available to work between the hours of (17:00 00:00) Able to carry out heavy physical labour. Be able to carry out basic roadside repairs. Be a hard worker and a problem solver. Demonstrate a positive attitude and be able to self-manage. Have access to personal emails on a daily basis and have basic PC skills. Have the right to work in the UK and consent to obtaining a DBS check (reimbursed by the Company).
