As a Wood Framer, you will play a crucial role in the structural integrity of our projects, ensuring that all framing is completed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Construct wooden frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
Measure, cut, and shape wood materials using hand tools and power tools.
Assemble and install structures and fixtures, such as windows and door frames.
Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience in wood framing or carpentry is essential.
Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools safely.
Physical fitness to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy materials.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
A valid driver's licence may be advantageous for transportation to job sites.
