Purpose of the Role
To support the production of high-quality sofa frames by operating and maintaining wood machining equipment within the Woodmill department. The role involves working to precise measurements and specifications to ensure all frame components meet company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a range of wood machining equipment
Cut, shape, and prepare timber components for sofa frame assembly.
Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and production schedules.
Carry out quality checks to ensure all components meet required specifications.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company health and safety procedures.
Perform basic machine maintenance and report any faults or issues to the supervisor.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow and product quality.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience working in a Woodmill or similar manufacturing environment.
Ability to operate wood machining tools and equipment safely and accurately.
Good attention to detail and ability to work to precise measurements.
Understanding of health and safety practices in a production setting.
Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Contract length: 9 weeks
Pay: 12.86 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
