. This role provides children with the opportunity to develop musical skills, rhythm, and confidence while learning to play the recorder and other woodwind instruments in a fun and supportive environment.
The club runs for
one hour per week, Wednesday, 3:30pm - 4:30pm
, giving children a weekly chance to practise musical techniques, explore performance, and enjoy playing together.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise children during recorder/woodwind sessions in a safe and encouraging environment.
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that develop musical skills, rhythm, and teamwork.
Encourage confidence, enjoyment, and creativity in playing instruments.
Communicate effectively with parents and school staff about children's progress.
Ensure the music area and instruments are safe, organised, and ready for use.
Experience & Skills
Experience teaching or leading music sessions for children.
Ability to engage and motivate children in a structured, fun, and safe way.
Strong communication skills in English for interacting with children, parents, and school staff.
A background in music education or instrumental teaching is highly desirable.
