Scheduler
to join our team. This role is pivotal to ensuring the efficiency and profitability of our engineering operations by creating well-planned, optimized routes for our engineers, managing appointments, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Role Overview
As a
Scheduler
at Smartfits Installations Limited, you'll be responsible for managing and planning engineers' daily schedules to ensure that their routes are optimized for maximum efficiency and profitability. You will also communicate with customers to book appointments, coordinate with engineers throughout the day, and handle emails and phone calls from both customers and stakeholders. Your role will be key to keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring that both customers and engineers are satisfied.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineer Scheduling:
Plan and manage engineers' working day, creating efficient and optimized routes to maximize productivity and profitability.
Appointment Booking:
Call customers to schedule appointments, ensuring that the engineers' day is packed with jobs that make sense geographically and operationally.
Liaison with Engineers:
Maintain communication with engineers throughout the day to ensure they are on track and resolve any issues they may encounter.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication:
Respond to emails and phone calls from customers and stakeholders, providing updates and handling any concerns.
Operational Support:
Assist the operations team with any other scheduling tasks that may arise, supporting the smooth running of the business.
Problem-Solving:
Quickly address any issues that may arise with appointments or engineer schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to the day.
Key Requirements:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to plan and manage multiple tasks at once.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
Experience in scheduling or dispatching roles is a plus, but not essential.
A strong team player, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using PCs and basic office software (e.g., Excel, Outlook).
A friendly, customer-focused attitude with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
