Workday Systems Analyst

London, United Kingdom

Job Description

We\xe2\x80\x99re Landsec

We are Landsec, we build and invest in buildings, spaces and partnerships to create sustainable places, connect communities and realise potential.

We are one of the largest real estate companies in Europe, with a portfolio of retail, leisure, workspace and residential hubs. Landsec is shaping a better future by leading our industry on environmental and social sustainability while delivering value for our shareholders, great experiences for our guests and positive change for our communities.

The Role

The People Systems Analyst role will have 3 primary responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day support of People systems including Workday. This will include managing 2nd line process queries; system and security administration; troubleshooting business process issues. (c.40% of your time)

Work with the wider People Team and their business areas to understand and document their data and analytic requirements. Determine the best method for delivering these requirements within Workday reporting features or using an external reporting layer and manage the delivery of the requirements. (c.40% of your time)

Support the delivery of larger system configuration changes, reviewing new system features and supporting delivery of the people systems roadmap to deliver new benefits and efficiencies to the People Team and the wider business. (c.20% of your time)

Due to the responsibilities listed, the right candidate does not have to have a technology background, but they must be comfortable with technology and have a desire to learn and understand how systems work and interact. Much of the role will be communicating with people who have limited or no technical knowledge and to document their needs and then determine the best way of providing support; for this reason, someone who is comfortable speaking to all levels of an organisation will find it easier to succeed in this role.

The Team:

The People Team enables Landsec to \'build the people that build the places\' and is made up of 4 centres of excellence: Reward, Learning & Culture, D&I and People Operations. The People Systems Analyst role will sit in the People Operations Team and report into the People Systems Manager. Sitting in the People Operations team with a focus on supporting the People Team and their business processes, this role will also need to work with wider Landsec teams such as Compliance, Health & Safety, Finance and of course Data and Technology to support their business needs and department projects where necessary.

The team is relatively small with a headcount of c.16, it is friendly and supportive team with anyone always available to help if needed. We have a flexible work approach with the majority of the team working 3 days in the office and 2 remotely but this does depend primarily on the work they are doing at that time. Recently we have decided as a team that we will have a \'regular\' day in the office where we will all try and be on site to support collaborative discussion and generally be available to keep in touch with each other.

Your skills, experience and qualifications:

Essential

Experience of the Workday system primarily HCM and one other module either Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning or Absence and a good understanding of Workday\'s different reporting mechanisms including Advanced Reports, Dashboards and/or Business Reporting

Proven track record of gathering business requirements from non-technical people, confirming requirements by playing back options and delivering either independently or via a 3rd party AMS support service.

Excellent reporting skills both with experience in extracting base data and transforming it to a \'readable\' format to support business teams in identifying trends and other management information

Desirable

Knowledge of industry standard system change and testing processes would be advantageous.
