The full-time starting salary is normally 51,580.00 per annum, with progression available in post to 56,067.00 per annum. This role also carries a 10% market supplement.

We're excited to announce a newly created opportunity for a Workforce Planning Manager--a pivotal role in shaping the University's workforce of the future - in our dedicated, friendly, and highly skilled Business Partnering Team. You'll help ensure we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right roles and at the right time. Your insight and strategic execution will be critical to strengthening our operational delivery and workforce capability across the University.



Reporting to the Head of HR Business Partnering, you'll lead efforts to embed a culture of continuous improvement and drive the development and implementation of consistent, forward-thinking workforce planning practices.



We're looking for someone who has strong people management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and support senior leaders and stakeholders. You will bring hands-on experience in developing and embedding workforce planning strategies, processes, and tools, and be able to align workforce needs with organisational objectives in a proactive, data-informed way.



You will communicate with confidence, openness, and clarity, while bringing a creative mindset that embraces change and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

The appointed candidate will normally be employed through our subsidiary company BCU Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham City University. Appointees with prior LGPS membership who wish to enter the LGPS scheme will be able to do so and will be employed by Birmingham City University directly.
