The Role

As a

Working Foreman

, you will work closely with our Repairs & Maintenance and Housing teams, learning how to oversee day-to-day operational activities. This role is ideal for someone with site-based, trade, or housing experience who wants to progress into a leadership position. -

Must have social housing experience

Key Responsibilities:

Support Supervisors in coordinating repairs, maintenance, and planned works. Assist in monitoring contractor performance and ensuring work meets quality and safety standards. Carry out property inspections, including voids and compliance checks. Help manage workloads, scheduling, and resource allocation. Communicate with residents to provide updates and resolve issues professionally. Maintain accurate records and support reporting for KPIs and service delivery. Develop knowledge of relevant legislation, health & safety, and housing standards.

About You:

Experience in social housing, property maintenance, or a trade background is essential. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Strong interest in developing supervisory and leadership skills. Good IT skills (e.g., MS Office, housing/repairs systems). Able to work independently and as part of a team. A full UK driving licence (if required for the role).
