- Minimum 5 years' experience as a foreman
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of residential refurbishment
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Working Foreman to take on significant responsibility, including overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a strong carpentry background, proven leadership experience, and deep knowledge of all types of residential refurbishment works.
This role requires someone with exceptional attention to detail, capable of delivering complex projects to the highest standards while ensuring drawings and specifications are followed precisely. We strive for perfection on every project--nothing should be left if it's not correct.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, coordinate, and oversee on-site teams across one or more projects.
- Motivate and guide team members to achieve high productivity and exceptional workmanship.
- Ensure tasks, expectations, and timelines are clearly communicated and adhered to.
Project Delivery
- Oversee daily site operations to ensure all works are completed on time and to a very high standard.
- Interpret and follow complex drawings and specifications with accuracy.
- Ensure every detail is correct--quality control is a priority on all projects.
Residential Refurbishment Expertise
- Apply a broad and in-depth understanding of all aspects of residential refurbishment, including structural, carpentry, joinery, finishes, and associated trades.
- Identify potential issues early and provide effective solutions based on experience.
Hands-On Approach
- Actively work alongside the team; this is not a hands-off role.
- Step in to assist with tasks and maintain a strong leadership presence on site.
Health & Safety
- Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
Multi-Project Coordination
- Manage and oversee work across multiple sites within Central London, Greater London, and Hertfordshire.
- Prioritise effectively to maintain progress on all ongoing projects.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong carpentry foundation with practical, hands-on expertise.
- Vast knowledge of residential refurbishment, from structural work through to high-end finishes.

Pay: 220.00-280.00 per day
