The Role

We're seeking an experienced Working Foreman (Joinery Background) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a hybrid role: around 50% of your time will be spent on the tools (primarily joinery and general site work), while the remainder will focus on site management responsibilities. You'll oversee day-to-day operations on our residential projects, ensuring work progresses safely, smoothly, and to the highest standard.

On smaller jobs, you'll manage the project directly while remaining hands-on. On larger projects you'll shift more towards supervision, coordination, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out joinery and general site tasks as required

Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour

Maintain quality control and ensure work is completed to specification

Liaise with clients, suppliers, and management

Maintain site health & safety and ensure compliance

Monitor programme, report progress, and resolve issues as they arise

Take responsibility for 1-2 projects at a time, depending on size

Requirements

Proven experience in domestic renovation/extension projects

Strong joinery skills, with ability to undertake general site tasks

Comfortable being hands-on while also managing people and tasks

Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Full UK driving licence

Valid CSR card

Full PPE
