Working Site Manager - Passive Fire Protection (Fire Stopping)

Location:

Various Construction Sites (UK) must be flexible to working away

Contracts Manager

Salary:

Starting Salary 40,000 per year increasing to 45,000 after a successful 6 month probationary period

Full-Time, Permanent

Driving Licence:

Must hold full UK driving licence

- Paid accommodation and food allowance when working away

- 20 days basic holiday and 8 bank holidays. One additional holiday day for each completed calendar year up to 25 days basic holiday allowance.

- Enrolled onto the company pension scheme after 3 months of employment.

Role Purpose

As a Working Site Manager, you'll be both overseeing and actively participating in passive fire protection works. This role suits someone with strong technical expertise and leadership skills who thrives in dynamic site environments and values safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Duties

Personally carry out fire protection installation work including firestopping, intumescent coatings and fire barriers Ensure the supervised site activities comply with H&S regulations and follow third party certification rules and regulations Ensure third party certification rules and regulations are being adhered to. Lead and support site teams to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with fire safety regulations. Maintain project timelines and adjust workflows to meet targets. Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions. Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure correct materials and installation procedures are followed. Perform quality checks and keep detailed records of work completed and certified. Keep the site well-organised, clean, and compliant with environmental requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Hands-on experience in passive fire protection (minimum 3 years). NVQ Level 2 or higher in Passive Fire Protection or equivalent. SMSTS or SSSTS certification. Valid CSCS card at Manager or Skilled Worker level. Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, building regs, and industry standards

Desirable Skills

Excellent time management and decision-making abilities. Strong leadership and people skills with a proactive approach. Comfortable using apps or digital tools for reporting and snagging. Willingness to mentor junior site operatives.
