What's the job role?



We are looking for a multi skilled ganger to join our playground installation, groundworks and landscaping business.

Due to growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced working Site Supervisor / Foreman, with excellent prospects for career progression. Ideally, we are looking for the right candidate to be self-employed in the first instance, however, a PAYE position would be considered for the right candidate. We have an internal training matrix and pay for new training/tickets necessary for the role as and when required.

What are we looking for?



A confident, experienced and knowledgeable individual with the ability to set up and manage each site. They will need to ensure high quality delivery of our projects, being the lead contact on the job with full responsibility for daily delivery of the project.

The right candidate will need to be able to confidently take a CAD plan, scale, set out and install a new project to a high standard. Existing experience in playground equipment installation would be advantageous, but not essential. The right candidate must have a strong skill set in general groundworks and landscaping, ideally with a background managing groundworks, hard landscaping and fencing projects. We welcome applications from other trades; however, we would need to see evidence of similar skills.

What are the key responsibilities of the role?



Reading and scaling drawings with a scale rule

All setting out on site

Overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of projects, i.e., chasing material deliveries, planning works for the day, allocating works to labourer, reporting back to office

Responsible for van, tools and plant

Daily reports submitted to the office

Overall delivery of projects

Mandatory role requirements



CSCS card

Driving Licence

NPORS or CPCS Dumper

Ability to pass enhanced DBS check

Demonstrable experience and skills in groundworks/landscaping

Ability to scale and set out from drawing

Ability to work away from home across the UK as required (usually approx. 20 days per year)

Desirable role requirements



NPORS or CPCS Digger

Playground installation experience

We have ambitious growth plans and expect to at least double the size of the company within the next 12-18 months. The person recruited for this role will be in a prime position to progress into a senior management role such as Contracts Manager, Project Manager, etc.

Competitive salary available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 20.00-27.50 per hour

Monday to Friday
