We have a fantastic opportunity of WorkshopUKAS Lab Manager with the responsibility of managing the workshop operation and team of technicians, ensuring that all targets are achieved, and customers are satisfied with the service.
On a day-to-day basis you and your team will maintain, calibrate, repair and prepare for hire all types of equipment within our product range and complete customer calibrations.
Daily Tasks will include:
Day to Day responsibility of the UKAS accreditation and process, auditing and record keeping.
Attending the Bi-Monthly UKAS meetings.
Day to day management of the workshop technicians.
Ensure that the technicians understand the priority list and assign tasks.
Update the training Matrix whilst leasing with the training department.
Making sure all relevant people are up to date with company policies.
Prioritise the repair of equipment that is scheduled to go on-hire or that is in high demand.
Place orders for spares and consumables.
Look after the calibration of the workshop standards keeping records up to date.
Make sure hires go out on time, fully compliant and in good condition.
Distribute hire orders to the relevant departments.
Deal with customer enquiries where possible
Provide technical support where appropriate
Keep the workshop compliant, clean and tidy.

To succeed in this role you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
Experience of managing and developing a team of employees in a workshop environment
Experience of maintaining relevant equipment in a workshop environment
Experience of achieving targets and working within a set budget
Good communication skills and IT literate
Qualified to NVQ Plant Maintenance Level 3 (or willing to undergo training and assessment to this level)
