Made 2 Measure Fitted Furniture have been manufacturing and installing fitted furniture in Dorset/Hampshire since 1991. We have a workshop and showroom in Christchurch where we design, manufacture made to measure fitted furniture.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our workshop operations, utilising their knowledge and hands-on skills to support various tasks within the workshop.

This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working with tools, machinery, materials handling, and keen to be part of a small, hardworking team.

Duties

Assisting our fitters in customers home and new build sites. Ability to proactively problem solve Operate and maintain various types of machinery, including CNC, edge banding equipment. (Training can be provided) Offloading/loading deliveries, check deliveries against orders, stock control of materials, picking and packing fittings for jobs Assist with the delivery and offloading of furniture components into customers homes in preparation for fitting. Able to read manufacturing drawings Quality control jobs before they are dispatched Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines. Troubleshoot issues as they arise. Actively keep the workshop organised and tidy.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse role. Bedroom Fitting Experience (a bonus) Familiarity with CAD software for design and manufacturing purposes is an advantage. Experience of driving forklift licence (desirable but not essential) Team player Able to use own initiative to problem solve Own Transport Training can be provided on machinery for the right candidate.
